CB2 Mexico

“CB2 is out of the office and will respond when we return from somewhere sunny.” That’s what our client's out-of-office message said when we picked them up at the Cancun airport for a 3-week-long catalog and a video shoot in Yucatan, Mexico. CB2 approached us to produce a campaign to launch its new outdoor collection. The content, both stills & motion, would be used across all media: catalogs, print ads, POP, digital and social media.

The inspiration for this collection was St. Tropez - sexy, sunny, relaxed, and playful. Due to the logistical challenges with the merchandise, we suggested shooting this campaign somewhere in North America. After careful research, we correctly matched the client's visual direction with locations in 3 different regions of Southern Mexico.

From the moment we were brought on this project, we knew that the stunning architecture and the Yucatan's majestic nature would be a perfect backdrop for these refined and glamorous pieces. You can feel the warmth of the Mexican sun in these stunning images shot in Tulum, Valladolid, and Merida. The video stars the stylish Adrienne Raquel, an accomplished creative, a color expert, and an Instagram influencer.

As the team in charge of production, we were responsible for the overall shoot strategy, estimates and budget management, production timelines and schedules, overseeing international merchandise logistics, procuring talent and crews in both countries, and all location research, scouting, casting, and travel and carnet arrangements. We were also involved in creative development for the video piece.

The month-long shoot was a visual and financial success. Product sales far exceeded what CB2 initially projected for this collection, and we were able to bring the project in under the budget while completing the brand's first international production.

This was one of our all-time favorite productions. We brought all of our creativity, knowledge, passion, and expertise to the project, which resulted in the execution of stunning content, a happy client and a delightful new cat friend named Pedro.
